Why are there decimal values in the AskingCanadian Social datafiles?

These data values are the estimated population to engage in the behavior. It is modeled data and not the actual survey respondents and will therefore create decimals. We do not convert the decimals to integers in order to retain a more accurate representation of the data.  As a best practice, it is recommended to round values at the end of a calculation. This is why we do not do so in the raw data files.
