Why is there such a decrease in the 10-year growth rate compared to last year’s DemoStats product?

A DemoStats 2019 and DemoStats Trends report using the 10 year projection variables for a 15 min drive time in Mississauga shows a very large decrease in population and household count compared to the 10-year projection data from DemoStats 2018 (i.e. 9% vs 18% household growth). Why is there such a decrease in the 10-year growth rate compared to last year’s DemoStats product?

Each year when creating DemoStats, we use a number of input datasets to inform the current and future growth of an area. In this year's DemoStats, we found that Brampton is growing at a much higher rate than last year. Mississauga's growth rate was reduced to accommodate for the added growth in Brampton.
