What do the Trade Area Levels represent in the Retail Interaction tool?

The Retail Interaction tool is designed to operate solely at the Store level. If you try to run this report for any other level, it will not work properly.

Select trade area level

For an understanding of the overall hierarchy, the other Trade Area levels represent the following:

  • Stores: The individual Store location.
  • Banners: The chain organization to which the individual Store belongs.
  • Accounts: The parent company that owns the Banner.
  • Aggregate Channel: Channels are categories of stores (e.g., Grocery, Mass Merchandiser, etc.). This trade area level aggregates the values at the Channel level.
  • Aggregate Geography: This trade area level aggregates the data to various geographies down to the FSA level.
