Dashboard Field Name Download Field Name Definition
Code GeoLevelCode Refers to the numeric code assigned to Standard Geographic Areas by Statistics Canada. The smaller the number, the larger the Area. For example, Canada’s code is 1. Quebec’s code is 24. Montréal Census Metropolitan Area’s code is 462. Montréal Census Subdivision’s code is 2466023.
$ Consumption The total dollar value of the amount spent by buyer households within the component area on the variable item.
% ($) ConsumptionPct  The percent of total dollar value within the component area, out of the total dollar value in the benchmark.
Base Hhld Households The total number of households within the component area.
Base Hhld % HouseholdsPct The percent of total households in the component area, out of the total households for all component areas in the benchmark.
Buyer Hhld Incidence  The number of buyer households within the component area that bought the variable item.
$/Buyer Hhld IncidenceAvg The average dollar value per buyer households within the component spent on the variable item.
Buyer % IncidencePct The percent of households in the component area that bought the variable item, out of the total buyer households for all component areas in the benchmark.
% Pen IncidenceRate Of all households within the component area, % pen is the proportion that are buyer households. Often called buyer penetration.
Buyer Index IndexInciRate Measures if households in the component area are more or less likely to buy the variable item when compared to the benchmark. An Index of 100 is average. Indices above 100 are above average or over-represented. Indices below 100 are below average or under-represented.
$/Hhld Index IndexUniAvg Measures if the $/households in the component area is more or less than the $/households in the benchmark for the variable item. An Index of 100 is average. Indices above 100 are above average or over-represented. Indices below 100 are below average or under-represented.
$/Buyer Hhld Index IndexIncAvg Measures if the $/buyer households in the component area is more or less than the $/buyer households in the benchmark for the variable item. An Index of 100 is average. Indices above 100 are above average or over-represented. Indices below 100 are below average or under-represented.
$/Hhld HouseholdConsumption The average dollar value per household within the component area spent on the variable item.
